CHRIS GORDON

Licensed Professional Counselor
Chris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over fifteen years experience working in a variety of mental health settings including private practice, community agencies, and a university counseling center. He earned his Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology and his Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California.
Chris focuses on a "here and now", attachment based approach to working with each client through current struggles such as adjustment to life changes, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relationship troubles and other impairment caused by mental illness.
Chris has been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) treatments, in order to employ a client centered method and more important, to build a safe and trusting environment for each person as they journey to deepen their view of self and each other. He serves adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and the American Association of Christian Counselors .
In his free time, Chris enjoys being with his wife and two children as well as getting out and about in the beautiful Ozarks.
